Sheilagh Jones was born in Liverpool on August 23, 1936.Her family lived in the southern centre of the city until they were bombed out in 1940 and had to relocate in Woolton. There she grew, and thrived. Her dad, Joseph Martin made himself at home in the Woolton community for 25 years. He was greatly missed when he died at the age of 72 in 1965. Mum, Mary Martin was a very quiet, hardworking lady who sadly suffered from arthritis in her later years, and was loved and cherished by her family until she passed away in 1977 at the age of 86.My version of Sheilagh's story begins on December 31st, 1955, when her life and mine converged into a crazy mixed up love affair which was filled with angst and laughter in equal measure.
