What childen they were. Each one different. Each one loved. Each one binding us together in a cocoon that left the rest of the world behind. Mary Julie Jones was born on September 6th, 1957. This was two days after I had taken up my appointment as an operational fireman with Liverpool Fire Service. Then came Christine Marie Jones, born October 2nd 1959, product of a wild New Year when we found ourselves homeless and desperately searching for a flat in Liverpool. In 1960 we moved into a small cottage in Woolton and continued to expand. Gwyllym Thomas Jones, our only son, born June 22nd 1961, destined to be a rover since the first day he took his small suitcase at the age of three and left home almost every day between meals. Margaret Rose Jones, born August 15th 1962, the lively, fun loving humourous one, who kept us all on our toes wondering what she was going to do next. Last but by no means least, Geraldine Ann Jones, Born December 22nd 1967, our Christmas child, agile in mind and body, a local gymnastic champion and a computer genius.
